Intercultural communication obstacles and their countermeasures

Intercultural communication competence plays an important role in learning spoken English. A good amount of English major students do well in English examinations, however, they are not skilled enough to communicate with native speakers from other cultures. This paper is aimed to analyze some obstacles in intercultural communication and put forth the countermeasures.
