While reviewing the set of problems and challenges we face, we all realize that the years to come will not necessarily be any easier than the years that have passed us by. An array of measures to achieve policy success, both from the government and Bank Indonesia, require your unrelenting support and cooperation throughout their execution. Therefore, we are always open to suggestions and recommendations regarding any of the policies that we have promulgated. We now have time, be it through this informal forum, breakfast meetings with bankers, or chief editors meeting with the mass media; to discuss the various issues raised here this evening. I expect that the existence of such avenues of discussion will minimize any potential arguments and differences that seem to be picked up by and dominate the mass media, which, in turn, do nothing but confuse the general public.
